Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at the Detroit Public Library nearly 50 people attended a joint public hearing held by the City of Detroit Department of Public Works and the Michigan Department of Transportation. A formal presentation was given by both road authorities and M-1 RAIL to explain the need for and content of the operating license agreements that have been drafted between MDOT, the City of Detroit and M-1 RAIL.

Attendees were able to give their comments and ask questions about the license agreements and the M-1 RAIL Streetcar Project, and project team members were available before and after the presentation to answer questions. All questions and comments have been recorded and will be taken into consideration while the license agreements are finalized. Additionally, M-1 RAIL will post all questions with written answers on www.m-1rail.com by Friday, January 31st.
